Diamond Legends Rules
The Draft | Setup | Season Play | The Playoffs | No Transaction Charges

A) Eligibility
  1. The three division winners make the playoffs, plus:
  2. The team with the best record that did not win a division. The wild-card tiebreakers are:

    • Best head-to-head record
    • Best Division record
    • The greatest run differential (Runs Scored minus Runs Allowed)
    • The fewest errors
    • Coin toss

  3. The team with the highest winning percentage enjoys home-field advantage throughout the postseason. Tie-breakers:

    • Final record
    • Best head-to-head record
    • Division record
    • The greatest run differential
    • The fewest errors
    • Coin toss

  4. In case of a three-way tie, or greater, we will use the same criteria listed above, except for head-to-head records.
B) Postseason Schedule
  1. There will be two series: The first one will be a best-of-five series, the second a best-of-seven series.

  2. The team with the highest winning percentage will have home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

  3. The team with the highest winning percentage will always play the wild-card team in the best-of-five series, even if the wild-card comes from the same division.

  4. In the other five-game series, the team with the highest winning percentage will have the home-field advantage.

  5. The wild-card team will never have home-park advantage, even if it advances to the seven-game series.

  6. A pitcher can only start once in a sub-series. The sub-series are designated as follows:

    • Sub-series 1: Game 1 and Game 2 of Best-of-Five Series
    • Sub-series 2: Game 3, Game 4 and Game 5 of Best-of-Five Series
    • Sub-series 3: Game 1 and Game 2 of Best-of-Seven Series
    • Sub-series 4: Game 3, Game 4 and Game 5 of Best-of-Seven Series
    • Sub-series 5: Game 6 and Game 7 of Best-of-Seven Series

  7. Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-five Series will be played the Monday after the regular season has ended. So if you played your 162nd game on Saturday, you'll have Sunday off, and then start playing again Monday. This is the schedule of those games:
